FWSD 2014 Designer Spotlight | Wilhelmina

Fashion Design is a family business and is in Wilhelmina’s blood.  It started with her mother who was educated at the prestigious Bankfort Academy in New York, in Fashion Design. Wilhelmina’s mother designed in the Philippines and in Beverly Hills with the assistance of Wilhelmina. Wilhelmina picked up on the business and the design of fashion and started specializing in high-end evening gowns and ladies cocktail suits. Working with her brother, in the mid 1990′s, she successfully marketed to Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, and others under the label ‘Ricco Antonio’.  In the year 2000 she diversified into a Wedding Gown Line and in 1994 Wilhelmina started Star Fashion House of La Jolla. This has been a staple to the socialites of San Diego County for their gala dress and formal wear. Wilhelmina of Star Fashion House in La Jolla offers her signature couture clothing, women’s evening gowns, and cocktail suits for women, and wedding dresses. We are thrilled to have this La Jolla favorite on the runway of FWSD.
